The Trophies
For the third year running it rained at Tinsley Green, not all the time I am glad to say and not enough to dampen our ardour.
Almost every year I was asked what has happened to some of the old teams that no longer compete at Tinsley Green on Good Friday? Where are the Bow Street Fudgers, Sorts, Punters Rams Addington Alcos, Ravensbury Ravers and the Wickham Bandits these days? Well many of the team members came along this year and are now playing for other teams. Those watching on Good Friday saw members of these now defunct teams reincarnated as stars of the Barrel Scrapers, Moonshiners and the Rejects.
The other thing to mention this year was that after our visit to the National Marbles Tournament in New Jersey we came back with a big bag of Blue target marbles, which we used. I was not quite the same and next year we will be back with our usual red target marbles.
But not all the
Yes’ it did Rain
