The Barrel Scrapers were formed in 1993 when two teams merged, the team were the Punter (formed in 1983) who were the runner-ups in 1987 and the Sorts an all ladies team (formed in 1986). Both teams were from around South Norwood in London. The team have won the championship twice in 1995 and 2005 and were runner-ups in 1998 and 2000. Simon ‘Monny’ Monahan has been Individual champion 4 times 1998-1999-2000 and 2005
